My obligatory hardcore Objectivist phase was a few years ago, but as I recall Rand referred to Romney as something like "a softshelled squishy thing." She certainly didn't have a high opinion of him. Are you referring to a different Romney or are you linking Rice to the one Rand didn't like?
I think Ayn was long since dead before Mitt Romney was out of his knickers.
Mitt Romney, Governor of Massachusetts and the "Peter Ueberroth" of the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympics.
Not sure what Ayn Rand would say about him.
By the way, much as I love Ayn Rand's essential reading, I would never count myself an objectivist. As a devout Christian, that would be hard to reconcile.
